Marking the 20th anniversary of the Way of Tea in Slovenia and the 10th anniversary of the activities of the Chadō Urasenke Tankokai Slovenia Association (2006–2026).

Enter the captivating world of the photographic exhibition of the Chadō Urasenke Tankokai Slovenia Association, the 110th branch of the Japanese Urasenke school of tea ceremony, where each frame captures the essence of fleeting moments and cherished milestones. Through a lens imbued with the spirit of the Japanese idiom “Ichi-go Ichi-e” – “one moment, one unique opportunity” – the exhibition invites the viewer to apprehend the beauty of transience and the significance of every unrepeatable encounter.

This journey began in 2006 at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum with the first steps of a study group, which in 2016 developed into an association. Since then, numerous practitioners and supporting members have set out on the Way of Tea, discovering through this practice a deeper sense of peace, attentiveness to the present moment, and the joy of sharing this experience with others. From serene tea gatherings to vibrant cultural events, each photograph bears witness to the dedication of the members of the Chadō Urasenke Tankokai Slovenia Association to the principles of harmony, respect, purity, and tranquillity, upon which the Way of Tea is founded. As you move through the exhi-bition, you enter a space of gratitude and quiet insight, in which what is truly essential is revealed: pea-ce, harmony, and an awareness of how precious it is to be here and now.

The featured photographers in the exhibition are Aleša Čuk Antičevič, Peter Čuhalev, Žiga Novak, Andreja Pleško, Jure Rus, Aleš Verbič, and Ina Živanović, with additional photos provided from the archives of the Chadō Urasenke Tankokai Slovenia Association.

The exhibition is open Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 17:00 (except during scheduled events).
